my little gentlemen
Last friday night we had pizza for dinner but I was still upstairs getting baby james to sleep. When I came down christian, andrew & paul were still finishing their pizza. To my amazement christian stood up and pulled another dining chair and said to me "mum sit down here's a chair for you and you eat your pizza".

The boys room

A week since andrew moved out of our bedroom and he is happy sleeping in christian's cot. Christian also seems happy to sleep in the double bed. One night I slept next to him, and he fell down on the floor!!! I woke up & found him sitting & leaning at the side of the bed as if he's still asleep.
I love it. Now that christian sleeps in the big bed I sometimes snuggle and sleep next to him. As a baby he was deprived of such maternal comforts coz he was sleeping in another room even when he was only one month old. Now it is a sweet feeling to be able to hug him as he goes to sleep or we both go to sleep. When he wakes up in the morning he goes to our room quietly but most often he comes about 6.30am.

I just love it everytime andrew wakes up in the night and wanting to sleep in the bed with us. he is so cuddly and all he does is smile and as soon as i put my arms and face around him he go goes back to sleep with a big grinn on his face as if to say "aaahh this is great". At first I couldn't go to sleep coz i wasnt used to sleep in the bed with us but I go used to it now. Babies should sleep with the mothers but in a society like australia parents are kind of pressured to put babies in a cot separate from mothers. To my parents horror, when christian was a baby he sleep in his cot in a separate room of his own. We had a baby monitor in our room though so we can hear him but if i think of it now I would not do to my other babies. Andrew and james sleep in their own cots but in our room.

James is now 4 mos old. He started sleeping thru the night when he was 3 & 1/2 mos but he is waking up again in the night and occassionaly sleep thru. He is such a lovely and happy baby. He now rarely cries when he wakes up. He just lays there in his cot and makes a bit of noise and as soon as i get to him he smiles. Andrew was like that too that he was so quiet i hardly know he is already awake.

Fathers day in australia is celebrated today. Andrew and christian came to bed in the morning and i instructed them to say happy fathers day to Paul and gave him he gift. Yesterday Andrew and christian was with me when I bought some chocolates for paul. Paul is so happy that he said the most important gift for him today are our wonderful children. And I do agree with him.

Tonight christian and andrew sleep in one room for the first time. Andrew now sleeps in christians cot w/o any complains. Christian sleeps in the big bed and he was so excited that andrew is sleeping in his cot. Thanks God there was no animosity when andrew takes over christian's cot.

james dominic
james is now 4 mos old. He started sleeping all night at 3 1/2 mos. allelujah! he usually sleeps bet 5-6pm or 7pm and wakes up bet 5 or 6am.
He is now smiling a lot and laughing and gigling esp if u tickle his neck. Or he has this strange but amusing thing where he laughs and gigles when I lift his arm and pulls his clothes thru his arm. don't know why.
christian is so besotted with him kissing & cuddling him and insisting on helping to look after him. when baby james wakes up christian would also like to go upstairs to check on him. If baby james cries christian would say "nothing to worry about james, we are here to help you".

a slap here a slap there

ah, what a morning to wake up. The other day i woke up with a kiss from christian but today I got a slap on my face. first thing it was strange for him to come to our bed and not see me coz my face was under my blanket as i luv to do especially on winter. then i was upset as it was still early 6am and I said in an angry tone that it is too early for him to climb out of his cot and wake us all (Andrew was sleeping in our bed that night). He wasn't happy when I said it and a slap landed on my cheek. Then when I turned to my right side andrew gave me two slaps! he thinks it was funny...... well, it ended christian getting a spank from dad. but it was all happy ending as paul managed to convince him to go back to his cot and wait till 7am. Indeed he came back at 7.15.......

Attended a friend's daughter's christening. The boys were so excited coz we told them we were going to a christening party. When we get to the church christian said we don't go to church coz we are going to a party. Of course he composed himself when I said we have to go to church first b4 the party.
There was a booming....ear crashing.... eardrum breaking karaoke at the venue. at first christian n andrew got very excited and screaming though christian has said he didn't like it coz too noisy. but james was amazing he was passed on from friends to friends who just held him all the time. he didn't go to sleep at all n not even cried.
ah, what a morning to wake up.
